Lore Rindu National Park is a habitat for about 80% of endemic
birds of Sulawesi and about 90% of terrestrial mammal biodiversity. The
fauna species found in the Park are including maleo (Macrocephalon maleo), red-knobbed hornbill (Rhyticeros cassidix), anoa (Bubalus sp.) and tarsier (Tarsius dianae).
Lore Lindu National Park area has important role for the indigenous
people living in surrounding areas such as Bada, Behoa, Perkurehau and
Kaili. This is one of reasons to design this Park as a Biosphere Reserve. In
addition, this Park has also some impressive groups of megaliths from
prehistoric era, both inside and outside the area, and make it designed
as a World Heritage Site.

Arrival at Mutiara airport Palu, then transfer
via 4 Wheel Drive Jeep to Lore Lindu National
Park (4-5 hour drive) birding along the way. (D)

2: LORE LINDU NATIONAL PARK.
Full day of birding at Lore Lindu National Park.
We will travel by jeep along a logging road
up to Anaso. Here,we can see many species of
birds unique to the highland forest. (BLD)

Full day of birding at Lore Lindu National Park

birding along main road,Lake Tambing, and Napu
valley 1100 m to 1700 m above sea level. (BLD)

Full day of birding at Lore Lindu National Park
birding Napu and Besoa Valley 1100m to 1300

6: LORE LINDU NATIONAL PARK – PALU
Early morning birding around Napu Valley and
along the main road down to Palu Valley at Lore
Lindu National Park. After lunch,we will continue
birding in the evening around Palu valley. (BLD)
Day 7: PALU—NEXT DESTINATION.
After breakfast and we will transfer you to
Manado or to the airport for your next destination.
